About This Trail

This 2 km trail begins at the end of Dorchester Island Road (where you can park) and follows the Acadian dykes along the river to Shepody Bay with breathtaking views of Dorchester Island, Beaumont, Hopewell Rocks, Grindstone Island, and Shepody Mountain. The trail ends at an old historical wharf where you can choose to head back or continue on the Wharf Beach Trail for another 2.5 km (if the tide is out).
